For Reviewers

Reviewers Roles and Responsibilities

Reviewing is a crucial yet time-intensive process. Writing a thorough review report demands almost as much effort as authoring a manuscript. However, this process is invaluable not only for the growth of the reviewer but also for the integrity and quality of the scientific community.

Epione Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers

At "The Epione," we adhere to the highest ethical standards during the peer-review process, inspired by the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain Scientific Integrity: Participate actively in the peer-review system to ensure the rigorous standards of the scientific process.

  • Uphold Journal Quality: Contribute to the integrity of the journal by identifying substandard research and helping to enhance the journal's overall quality.

  • Support the Community: Fulfill their scholarly duty to their field of research by contributing their expertise.

  • Build Professional Relationships: Establish connections with reputable colleagues and journals, increasing their opportunities to join Editorial Boards.

  • Prevent Ethical Breaches: Utilize their expertise to identify ethical issues such as plagiarism and research fraud.

  • Reciprocate Professionalism: Engage in the peer-review process to return the scholarly courtesy extended to them as authors.
